This personal project was about developing myself illustratively and seeing how far I could go with gradients and other tricks to light up and bring some dimension and texture into an entirely flat illustration.As a father of two, it can sometimes be challenging to find enough hours in the day for personal projects, so this was done over the course of a month, approximately 25 minutes each evening. It actually worked quite well, although I prefer to work in longer stretches to get into a flow.
